If yu have the chance and Tony comes to your town check him out: he's out with a line up that includes Andrew King... unfort Karl Blake was not present in the Milan date i saw ... the set list is quite impressive from Cruel Lincoln to Angels Fall and Black Easter passin through Old London Weeps Believe me and other classics... Tony was in great shape... he did a song form the "cruelest month" (from Ts Eliot Wasteland: "April is the cruelest month") which sounds really good...hpe the cd will cme out shortly...
Sol Invictus...maybe the last neo folk band still worth seeing and supporting (together with Blood Axis)

I have seen Sol Invictus a couple of years ago in Belgium (also with Andrew King). It was ok but not great. Would like to see them again but with a more interesting setlist.

Unfortunately not many (good) neofolk and/or industrial concerts in the near future in Holland and Belgium. Hopefully there will be a new edition of Dwaalspoor soon. And later this year ofcourse Summer Darkness and the Incubate Festival.

i think the problem is not so much in the set list...here in Milan they played a good mix of old classics like Abattoirs of Love, Media, Angels Fall as well as new tracks, all in the same traditional folk vein...Andrew King really adds a true folk feeling with his great voice and the percussions...the problem is that Karl Blake is missing! His unique distorted bass style added a psichedelic note to the Sol Invictus sound...so the perfect line up would be Tony Andrew Karl and the flute/violin girl (dont remember her name but she was fine)...come back Karl Blake! please come back!
