NeoFolk & Martial Book in the works. |
|
From Black Skies Press:
There is a book being compiled by author, history buff and music-collector Veronique Blacknight about the NeoFolk / Martial Genre and Scene, which will focus on some of the more prominent and/or innovative artists in this scene, as well as explore the esoteric, symbolic, and political (and sometimes anti-political) aspects of the music and subculture.
If you or your band think you deserve to be interviewed or featured in it email:

Can't wait for a book like that, the whole [sub?] culture deserves a decent treatment in text.
Trouble is, you're bound to upset somebody, hopefully you won't end up getting into the same problems as the 'Battlenoise' debacle...

Wasn't the 'Looking For Europe' book in German? As far as I know, it is, and that is the sole reason I haven't bought it so far.

There's another one called "Ästhetische Mobilmachung Dark-Wave, Neofolk und Industrial im Spannungsfeld rechter Ideologien" from 2001, but mein Deutsch ist nicht zu gute.

"The Looking for Europe Book" is in English and German, and comes with 4 CD's. Copies are still available if you look. I would be very interested in this new book. If she needs any help researching or putting together stuff, I'd be happy to volunteer...

italian blood axis |
|
the italian blood axis book is awful
the spirit is that of elitism and fake aristocraticism
nothin compared to Misery and Purity, a personal interpretation of Death in June
I think so far Misery and Purity is the best work released in this field
maybe cauz is written by an ex Crass fan, being an ex Crass fan myself I still have that militant view...

I read the French version (of course !) and it is very a nice book. Good bands, no sterotypes and the thing I like is that it deals with some proto-neofolk bands, relatively unknown but worth knowing.
I don't know about the English version but the French one is about 2 tomes and the compilation (4 cd's) is simply great !

Times have changed WOW Power Leveling, but most companies do not. I
thought Pink was a big point in the beginning when he asked the question in 1995, the "encyclopedia" would expect
people to survive - Encarta or Wikipedia Aion Gold. Very few would imagine at
that time a Wikipedia world, (Cheap WOW Gold Fast)where people have voluntarily participate in the Crowd sourcing an
online encyclopedia. We have moved from a 2.0 world motivation (rewards and punishments) to a motivation 3.0 world. In
other words, routine tasks can still benefit from incentives WOW Gold, but for
creative, incentives can have a restrictive effect.

Are you certain as to the existence of an English translation? My searching suggests that there is no such book.
