Hum, having been a fan of Death In June since the Nada album (and before when they were known as Crisis) I've always found their move into Neofolk a bit difficult, my fave album has always been World That Summer and the most recent album I've enjoyed was Kammeradschaft (with Les Joyaux De La Princesse).

Even though I like the earlier albums by Sol Invictus and Current 93 I still find Neofolk a little twee (though I've not listened to any for some time).

Some time ago I tried Der Blutarsch but prefered Albin's previous TMLHBAC incarnation.

Just recently I've taken a liking to bluegrass music (Alison Krauss etc), so maybe I'm now ready for Neofolk......especially since now I'm really concentrated on listening to lyrics like never before!!!

From what you like I think you should have a look at In Gowan Ring and Current 93.

I really recommend the Witchcraft and Rites of Samhain by Blood Axis and In Gowan Ring.

Stone Breath is a name to look into for anyone who likes Current 93 and bluegrass.

Well since you're on that tangent now anyway, you should give a listen to The Lindbergh Baby. Wink America's country answer to neofolk.
