 Compilation Submissions - New Noise Net Label - Waxen Wings |

I've started a new net label called Waxen Wings dedicated to releasing noise comps in various styles with various themes and concepts. I'm accepting submissions for 2 separate comps right now, the first being themed, the second being a general, non-themed release.
The theme for the first (which was decided upon by the first few participants on the comp) is 'How it's hard to hear people from far away' with a secondary challenge aspect of 'how small they look' from so far away. I think depending on where people take this idea, it could be very interesting. the submission deadline for this release is February 22nd.
The deadline for the non-themed release is March 10.
Anybody and everybody is welcome to participate regardless of exact style or sound.

So I've decided to extend the deadline for the themed comp until march 10th. I've received quite a few submissions for the general noise comp, but only a handful for the themed thus far. I toyed with the idea of combining them, but I didn't think that'd be fair to those who've already submitted for the themed comp. And I'm ambitious, I think we can make it happen. I know some of you can comp up with some great things to fit the 'how it's hard to hear people from far away' theme... The few I HAVE received were quite impressive, so let's get this ball rolling again. I'd love to get another 6 or 7 pieces for this theme (i'll take more if enough interest is gained). Then with the general noise comp's deadline of march 15th, I'm thinking I might release them both on around march 20th. Also, please feel free to pass this info along to anybody you know that may be interested, or link them to the site with the links below:

just 10 days left! lets get some last minute submissions in! either comp, themed or non-themed (which if I don't get a few more contributions for the themed, i may have to consider making it a 4 or 5 way split, or just absorbing it into the general comp, though i'd prefer not to go that particular route). Any and all are welcome, Also if anybody would like to contribute visually, I'd love to include some outside contributions (outside of myself that is. lol) within the artwork for the comp(s). And that's an open invitation to anybody, even if you haven't contributed audio, you're welcome to submit some images to be used in the cover/'digital booklet.' Getting excited about this!!
